About us

In June 2023, Kimron Gilbert founded Spice Isle Bali to bring the vibrant flavors of the West Indies to Indonesia. Originally from Grenada, known as the "Spice Isle," Kimron was deeply connected to his Caribbean roots and culture. After noticing the absence of Caribbean cuisine in Bali, he began cooking from home, blending family recipes with local ingredients. His flavorful dishes quickly gained popularity, leading him to operate a small food truck outside Finns Beach Club, where eager food lovers formed long lines to sample his creations.

As demand grew, Kimron expanded to La Brisa's Sunday market and later opened a brick-and-mortar store in Seminyak, which became a cultural hub for Caribbean food and atmosphere. Facing challenges along the way, he pivoted the business to include private chef services, catering, pop-up events, and collaborations. Kimron also launched a line of Caribbean-inspired sauces and spices. With plans to open new locations in Jakarta, Singapore, and Sunar by 2025, Spice Isle Bali continues to spread the essence of Grenadian cuisine across Southeast Asia.
